iPhone SE 4 - Incredefy

Apple Resumes Production of iPhone SE 4 with 6.1-inch OLED

According to a new tweet by reputable Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has reportedly restarted production of its iPhone SE 4. The new device is said to adopt an in-house 5G baseband chip, which would significantly reduce production costs and help Apple test its efficiency before implementing it in its pro lineup.

Previously it was reported that BOE had faced production challenges and was unable to deliver the expected volume of OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone 15 series. As a result, Samsung and LG have reportedly secured the majority of the orders. However, BOE is said to be shifting its focus towards producing OLED panels for the more affordable iPhone SE 4, with an estimated volume of around 20 million panels slated for next year.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to use OLED inventory originally put in place for iPhone 13 and 14. Apple seems to be using the chassis of the iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch OLED display, which could give serious competition to midrange offerings from Android. The iPhone SE has been stuck at 4.7 inches, which is why it has been not much popular.

With news of Apple restarting production of its iPhone SE 4, the tech world is buzzing with anticipation. The combination of an in-house 5G baseband chip and an affordable price point could make the iPhone SE 4 a highly sought-after device.

Rumors also suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro Series could see a price increase this year, widening the gap between midrange and flagship offerings. The new SE 4 is expected to launch next year. As always, we will keep you updated on any further developments on this story. Stay tuned!
