Next-Generation Cooling: How Frore Systems’ AirJet Technology is Revolutionizing the Future of PC Thermals

The advancement of technology has brought with it an increased demand for powerful laptops that can keep up with the demands of modern computing. However, these powerful devices are often hindered by heat, leading to processor throttling and decreased performance. Traditional cooling solutions, such as bulky fans, have proven to be inadequate in addressing this issue. But there’s a new solution on the horizon: Frore Systems’ AirJet Technology.

How Does AirJet Cooling Work?

AirJet cooling works by using compressed air to cool the components of a PC. Unlike traditional liquid cooling systems, which rely on liquid coolants to transfer heat away from the CPU and other components, AirJet cooling uses compressed air to create a stream of cool air that flows directly over the heat plate of the chip. This allows for better heat dissipation and improved cooling performance. The AirJet chip sits beside the processor and is attached via a vapour chamber, which allows laptop makers to keep the chassis very slim.

AirJet by Frore Systems is a revolutionary technology that utilises a combination of cutting-edge materials, precision geometry, and physics to achieve efficient cooling. The compact 2.8mm chip is designed with cavities on top, filled with vibrating membranes that emit cool air at high speeds, up to 200 kilometres per hour, to cool down the heat spreader of the CPU or other components. This breakthrough technology offers a powerful cooling solution in a small package, making it a game-changer for notebook performance and design innovation.

Advantages of Frore Systems AirJet Cooling

Efficiency: AirJet cooling can cool components more efficiently than traditional liquid cooling systems. Compressed air is able to transfer heat away from components much more quickly than liquid coolants.

Compact and lightweight design: AirJet cooling systems are much more compact and lightweight than traditional liquid cooling systems, making them a great choice for PC builders who are looking to save space and weight.

Quiet operation: AirJet cooling systems operate more quietly than traditional liquid cooling systems because compressed air is able to dissipate heat without the need for large fans or pumps.

Scalability: AirJet cooling systems are scalable, which means they can be expanded to accommodate more components. This makes it possible to cool down even the most powerful PCs with a single AirJet cooling system. It can act as a plug-and-play device, which means a laptop can have multiple of them as per the need.

Performance Comparison: In terms of performance, AirJet solid state cooling has been proven to perform better than traditional liquid cooling systems. In several independent tests, AirJet solid state cooling has been shown to lower CPU temperature by up to 20°C compared to traditional liquid cooling systems.

Products Offered by Frore Systems

Frore Systems’ active cooling chips, AirJet® Mini and AirJet® Pro, are very thin and light, almost similar to an SSD. And thus can be integrated into portable notebooks to remove heat silently, resulting in major performance gains. Both the products were showcased at CES 2023.

Frore Systems is a 4-year-old startup that has two products currently available, with plans to bring more products in the future, even for high-end gaming laptops. The company’s products, AirJet Mini and AirJet Pro, offer a range of benefits over traditional cooling solutions.

AirJet Mini is a revolutionary active cooling chip that is the first-ever solid-state thermal solution. AirJet Mini is silent, thin, light, and outperforms fans. It removes 5.25 watts of heat at a silent 21 dBA noise level, while only consuming a maximum of 1 watt of power. AirJet Mini generates 1750 Pascals of back pressure, 10x higher than a fan, enabling sleek, dust-proof devices.

AirJet Pro, on the other hand, removes 10.5 watts of heat at a silent 24 dBA noise level, while only consuming a maximum of 1.75 watts of power. AirJet Pro generates 1750 Pascals of back pressure, 10x higher than a fan, enabling sleek, dust-proof devices.

Frore Systems Laptop

Frore Systems has already collaborated with a few OEMs to implement its new cooling technology for laptops called “Airjet technology”. This technology uses 200 km/hr pulsating jets to provide cooling to high power consumption processors. Multiple Airjet modules can be added in a laptop to remove more heat, making it ideal for high-performance laptops.

The Airjet technology is a result of cooperation between Frore Systems and Intel, and the first generation product is targeted towards ultrabooks and low-power devices. The technology is super-thin, adding only 4W of power to the device, and capable of dissipating 20W of power. While it may not be suitable for high-performance gaming laptops yet, it is a goal for Frore Systems to improve the technology enough to work for these devices in the future.

The Airjet technology also has the backing of Qualcomm Ventures and is expected to be implemented in consumer products starting this year. With its miniature footprint and noise-less, efficient operation, it already provides a competitive edge over other cooling solutions. While it may not be suitable for high-performance gaming laptops yet, it is an ideal solution for ultrabooks and low-power devices. With backing from industry leaders such as Intel and Qualcomm Ventures, the Airjet technology will surely make a big impact in the laptop market.

AirJet powered laptops coming soon

AirJet solid state cooling has the potential to revolutionise the way we think about PC thermals. With its improved cooling performance, compact and lightweight design, and quiet operation, it is an ideal solution for PC builders who are looking to create powerful and efficient PCs. It is certainly a big step towards thermal innovation that has been idle for more than a few decades now. In conclusion, Frore Systems has introduced a novel and innovative solution to laptop cooling with its Airjet technology.

The compact design and advanced capabilities of AirJet allow for the creation of faster, quieter, thinner, and dust-proof devices. This technology effectively addresses the problem of processor throttling and opens the door for even more high-performance PCs and gaming laptops. As a young and innovative company, Frore Systems has a promising future in the industry.
